Statement

I have a recurring dream that, long ago, there existed three galaxies. One was made of light, another of value, and the third of intensity. For eons they drifted through space, each distinct and complete unto itself. Then they collided, and chaos reigned for millennia.

From this upheaval emerged something unexpected: a larger, more expansive cosmos whose meaning could no longer be understood through any one galaxy alone. Their collisions revealed deeper interdependencies, hidden complexities, and new relationships extending beyond themselves to neighboring galaxies. What followed was neither the survival of the fittest nor the simple inheritance of traits. It was a transformation born of convergence, collaboration, and exchange.

These galaxies, shaped by disruption and renewal, mirror the complexities of human experience. Despite their experience something all too familiar remains.

Bio

Arturo Pérez Saad is a Puerto Rican and Lebanese artist. Born in 1970 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, raised in mainland Middle America, shaped by formative years in New Orleans, BS and BA University of New Orleans, and MFA Pratt Institute New York City. Off-Broadway performing arts career. Currently, residing in New Orleans.
An educator, creative, organizer, performer. His works highlight the intersections of Caribbean, Middle Eastern, and American political identities. 

His works are in private collections worldwide.
